Dr. Jennifer Gaewsky, PT, DPT, CBS.

Doctor of Physical Therapy (2012) & Certified Breastfeeding Specialist.

I studied physical therapy at the University of Hartford in Connecticut, and graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2012. As a student, I grew increasingly interested in studying neurophysiology, physics of the human body, and the development and acquisition of gross motor skills during infancy. While completing my final clinical rotation at Connecticut Children's Medical Center, I fell in love with serving families and young children.

I’ve been serving Austin families since 2013 as a Texas licensed physical therapist. Over the years, I've honed a skillful awareness and understanding of infant gross motor development. A focus on creating rich, movement-based, learning experiences for babies sets me apart as a therapist. Excellent pediatric physical therapy begins with keen observation and listening skills, patience, and creativity.

I’ve expanded my expertise by becoming a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS) and am currently pursuing certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). This additional training allows me to provide comprehensive support to families by addressing both the physical development needs of infants and the important aspects of successful breastfeeding. This combined knowledge of infant motor development and lactation support enables me to offer uniquely integrated care that considers the whole picture of infant wellness.

Author & Community Educator

I'm the author and illustrator of "Meaningful Movement: A Parent's Guide to Play," which helps thousands of families understand infant development. As a community educator and speaker, I share guidance on infant motor milestones, feeding challenges, and early intervention strategies with local parents and care providers.

Through my Instagram account, @PTforInfants, I've become a trusted resource for over 98,000 followers seeking expert guidance on baby development. I love sharing educational content that helps families recognize how motor milestones naturally unfold and when to seek professional help.
