Is “W” Sitting Bad For Baby’s Hips?

W sitting is not harmful when it's one of many positions your child uses. It doesn't cause hip dysplasia. Only address W sitting if your child uses this position almost exclusively and resists alternatives, which can indicate trunk weakness or lead to muscle imbalances. Encourage position variety through modeling and playful prompts rather than constant corrections.
